Netflix Chooses Spot-On Performer for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Third Season
Baroque Works is set to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the major clash isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The streaming service revealed recently that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Bon Clay. The role has the ability to transform into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. Escola, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that role reimagined as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, as in the initial comic and animated series.
This performer will work alongside several other recently announced actors tasked with bringing the group to life, such as leader the main antagonist, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the cast as the ruler of the fictional land.
Even though Bon Clay is a important part of the organization, the character won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Considering the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this represents a major departure in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal more adjustments to the plot development.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the part. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for penning and acting in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s highly regarded roles.
The platform’s adapted One Piece series is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
