In a surprising partnership that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Uncovered

According to the official statement, "A mysterious meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine group.

The mission concentrates on "peculiar tests and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Metamorphoses

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Extra Features

Players who finish the mission will receive an special katana in addition to multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

• Mikasa attire for Naoe
• Exclusive weapons
• Survey Corps vehicle

Newest Free Story Update

This patch also introduces the game's newest no-cost story episode, titled "The Enigma."
